This program has been developed from Coerver®, the world’s leading formal soccer training program. This program, with specialized training for beginner, intermediate, and advanced players, is the most educational, effective, and FUN out of any other introductory soccer skills program. Understanding Coaching Methods: For over 30 years, Jeremy Wright has had the joy of coaching at multiple levels of this beautiful game. His coaching style is eclectic, developed over his soccer tenure, but draws heavily from the Coerver® training program. This program is suited to all ages and abilities, but especially players aged 5-15, their parents, coaches, and teachers. This method focuses on individual skill development and small group play to help young players master various technical and social skills necessary for future team play. The Coerver® program is endorsed and recommended by some of the top soccer federations, associations, legends, game experts, club teams and corporations, including:
  • French Football Federation
  • Football Federation of Australia
  • Japanese Football Association
  • English Football Association
  • Canadian Soccer Association
  • United States Soccer Association
The Player Pathway: Each stage in the player pathway is designed to develop crucial skills needed to master future stages. While the program’s philosophy is the same for each age group, there are some key differences between the beginner, intermediate, and advanced stages. The beginner and intermediate programs provide the foundation from which skills will be mastered at the Advanced level. In general, the program is designed to:
  • Help children develop self-confidence and a love of soccer
  • Develop important foundational skills with a focus on ball mastery, striking/shooting/passing, and how to play in small-sided games
  • Develop listening skills, extended concentration, speedy reactions, as well as core social skills of communication and cooperation
  • Learn the basics skills of running with a ball
  • HAVE FUN!

  Session Components:

The program curriculum is customized for each skill level and divided into 4 key areas, including:

  • Skills (Basic Ball Mastery and simple 1v1 moves)
  • Speed (particularly mental reaction speed)
  • Shooting and passing (kicking techniques)
